Ohio Blue Jackets Golf Outing

We are thrilled to be hosting our annual Golf Outing on Monday, August 17, 2026, at The Club at Tartan Fields—home to an award-winning Arnold Palmer Signature Course—for the BEST DAY OF THE YEAR!

Proceeds from this outing benefit the operation of Ohio Blue Jackets to reduce costs for all families and the program's scholarship fund for players in need, ensuring every player has the opportunity to grow and thrive through hockey.

9:15am - Welcome/Shotgun Start

Mulligan Package

Play to win, have fun, support the program and keep the pace of play moving!

$100 PER FOURSOME

Package includes the following benefits for your group:

  • No score worse than par on any hole
  • NEW BENEFIT: Use a tee for any shot taken from the fairway!
  • All putts inside the length of the flagstick are considered "good". You must count the stroke
  • Play 1 hole of your choice from the red tees (closest)
  • 1 free throw - per player
  • 1 free foot wedge (kick) - per player
  • 1 mulligan - per player


ON COURSE EVENTS

HOLE 1

RAFFLE HOLE

Raffle items will be on display at check in. Participants will be able to place their tickets into baskets of desired items. Winners will be drawn at the post golf reception.

At this hole, we will have raffle tickets for sale as well as a challenge on the tee box to earn more!

If you have something that you would like to contribute to the raffle, it is not too late!

HOLE 4

GLASS BREAK CHALLENGE

This game is fun, interactive, and helps keep the pace of play moving! This game will be run by golf professional Mandie Ruminski from Back Swing Golf Events.

The players will each receive one attempt to “break the glass.” If they succeed, they move up to putt from 10 feet. If they are not able to “break the glass,” they get to drop it from 100 yards and play out the hole from there. The pro will hit with each of the teams to give them a 5th chance!

Girls Hockey Director Kerry Bowman will be present on this hole.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will support our Girls Program!

HOLE 6

CLOSEST TO THE PIN

Closest to the pin champion for the day will receive a prize at the post-golf award ceremony!

A refreshment station will be available at this hole courtesy of Coca-Cola Consolidated.

HOLE 8

CLOSEST TO THE PIN WITH OBJ ALUMNI

  • OBJ alumni Lucas Goodfellow, Zachary Wolf and Executive Vice President Nick Petraglia will. be present on this hole to play with each group.
  • Closest to the pin champion for the day will receive a prize at the post-golf award ceremony!


A Tartan Fields beverage station will be present on this hole.

HOLE 9

LONG DRIVE COMPETITION

  • Long drive champions for the day will be named for both men and women!
  • Winners will receive a prize at the post-golf awards ceremony.

HOLE 11

GOLF BALL CANNON LAUNCHER

The Cannon Man is back! Fire darts with the powerful and accurate golf back cannon in this unique and fun competition

This experience is brought to you by Chuck Thuss and Compassionate Connection.

Chuck works closely with our players and coaches as part of the Beyond the Ice Program which is focused on providing education, resources and support to our players, coaches and parents to grow and develop off of the ice.

It is our goal to be able to provide these additional growth opportunities for everyone in our program at no additional costs to our families through the Holly Frank Excellence Fund.

Chuck will be present on this hole as well as current OBJ players Weston and Colton Matracia.

CLOSEST TO THE PIN

  • Closest to the pin champion for the day will receive a prize at the post-golf award ceremony!

HOLE 17

QUEBEC FUNDRAISER

  • Our 12U (2014) team will be selling raffle tickets for a Yeti & Booze Raffle to support the team's pursuit of the prestigous Quebec International Pee-Wee Tournament
  • Current OBJ coach and former CBJ fan favorite Derek Dorsett will be stationed at this hole alongside parents and players from our 12U team.
  • Closest to the pin champion for the day will receive a prize at the post-golf awards ceremony!

A Tartan Fields Beverage station will be present here as well as non-alcoholic refreshments courtesy of Coca-Cola Consolidated.

HOLE 18

LONGEST PUTT COMPETITION

  • Longest putt champion for the day will receive a prize at the post-golf awards ceremony!
