OBJ names Players of the Month for October

The Ohio Blue Jackets are proud to announce the program's October Players of the Month presented by DICK'S Sporting Goods. These awards are issued to one member from each team. Honored are student-athletes that excel on and off of the ice, demonstrate our holistic development model and represent the program's core values of process, respect, integrity, determination and excellence.

18U (2007/08) - Aiden Sinha
An everyday leader who embodies high-level consistency, Aiden Sinha has been a driving force behind the 18U team’s success in the early part of the season. With a 9-2-0 record in October, the squad now holds an 18-6-0 mark for the 2025–26 campaign. Through 24 games this season, Sinha has recorded 6 goals and 10 assists, but his contributions extend far beyond the scoresheet. A consummate teammate, he plays a team-first game and brings versatility and reliability to every role he’s asked to fill. His steady presence, preparation, and competitiveness have made him one of the team’s most trusted players in all situations. A senior at Hilliard Davidson High School, Sinha continues to set the standard for effort and professionalism both on and off the ice. His commitment to personal growth and his ability to elevate those around him have made a lasting impact within the program. This past summer, Sinha represented OBJ and the MidAm District at the 2025 USA Hockey National Development Camp in Buffalo, New York — a reflection of his continued development and dedication to his craft.

16U (2009) - Max Walkotte
A hard-working and dependable forward, Max Walkotte has been a model of consistency for the 16U team throughout the first half of the season, helping lead the group to a 5-3-1 record in October and a 12-8-1 overall mark. His reliability and competitiveness have made him one of the team’s most trusted players in all situations. After recording 7 points in 4 games at the Buffalo showcase, Walkotte has continued to produce offensively, totaling 5 goals, 16 assists, and a +17 rating on the season. His ability to make plays, win puck battles, and elevate those around him has been a key factor in the team’s success. Off the ice, Walkotte brings the same level of dedication and discipline that defines his game. A 4.0 student, he exemplifies what it means to be a student-athlete, setting the standard for work ethic, attitude, and preparation. Following a tremendous summer of training, Walkotte has shown noticeable growth in his strength, confidence and overall impact. 

16U Girls (2009/10) - Ella Robison
An extremely hard worker who brings consistent effort and attention to detail every day, Ella Robison has been a standout leader and role model for the 16U Girls team this season. Her work ethic, coachability, and team-first mindset set the tone for those around her and make her an example both on and off the ice. Robison has been trusted to play in all situations and has showcased impressive versatility, stepping into all three forward positions at various times throughout the month. A dependable penalty killer, she also delivered one of the team’s most memorable moments of the season — scoring a shorthanded breakaway goal with 20 seconds remaining to secure a key victory. Off the ice, Robison continues to excel as a true student-athlete. She carries a 4.1 GPA while taking honors courses and competes in field hockey for Olentangy Liberty High School and Olentangy STEM Academy. In addition to her athletic and academic commitments, she is also a talented musician who plays cello in the high school orchestra. Robison’s drive, versatility, and leadership make her an invaluable member of the program and a shining example of what it means to represent OBJ.

15O (2010) - Henrik Miller
Now in his fourth season with the program, Henrik Miller continues to exemplify what it means to be an everyday leader for the 2010 birth year. Whether it’s in the gym, on the ice, or in the locker room, Miller sets the tone through his work ethic, consistency, and competitive drive. In the month of October, Miller recorded 3 goals and 3 assists, playing a pivotal role in the team’s home-and-home sweep against district rival Indiana Elite. Miller’s leadership is evident not only in games but in his daily habits. He brings focus and energy to every practice, pushes his teammates to be better, and leads by example through his accountability and positive attitude. Coaches and teammates alike value his reliability, maturity, and willingness to take on any role that benefits the team. A dedicated student-athlete, Miller maintains a 3.8 GPA in the classroom and approaches his academics with the same determination he brings to the rink. His drive to continually improve and his commitment to excellence in every area make him a standout representative of the OBJ program — both as a player and as a person.

14U (2011) - Easton Reichardt
A well-rounded, two-way defenseman, Easton Reichardt is a reliable and consistent go-to player for the 14U team. With a team-leading +10 rating in October, Reichardt has distinguished himself through his focus, hockey IQ, and passion for the game. Known for his elite competitiveness and relentless drive, he has earned the respect of both coaches and teammates as a true leader on and off the ice. Reichardt’s play combines smart decision-making with physicality and poise, allowing him to contribute both defensively and offensively. His ability to read the play, make clean breakout passes, and support the rush consistently makes him a key component of the team’s success. Beyond his on-ice performance, he demonstrates exceptional work ethic and commitment to off-ice conditioning, consistently ranking among the best-conditioned players in the program. Off the ice, Reichardt is a high-character student-athlete who carries all A’s on his report card. With his combination of skill, intelligence, work ethic, and leadership, Easton Reichardt continues to set the standard for the 14U team and serve as an exemplary representative of OBJ hockey.

14U Girls (2011/12) - Juliet Darr
Juliet Darr has been instrumental to the early-season success of the 14U Girls team, emerging as one of the group’s most reliable and dynamic contributors. A passionate competitor and natural leader, Darr consistently leads by example through her effort, focus, and determination. In October, Darr helped the team earn a key victory over rival Pens Elite and guided the group to a semifinal appearance at the 2 Nations Tournament in Detroit, where she led the way offensively with 3 goals and 6 points in 5 games. A creative, playmaking forward, Darr currently leads the team with 14 assists and 26 points on the season. Her vision, poise with the puck, and ability to make players around her better have made her a consistent offensive threat. Beyond her scoring touch, Darr’s versatility and hockey sense allow her to play an integral role in all situations. She is trusted on both the power play and penalty kill, where her compete level, anticipation, and responsibility stand out. Off the ice, Darr excels as a dedicated student and well-rounded individual. A 9th grader at Worthington Kilbourne High School, she takes honors science and English classes and enjoys exploring her creative side in culinary arts.

13U (2012) - Camden Haverstock
In his first season with the program, Camden Haverstock has made an immediate and positive impact on the 13U team. Despite a challenging month of competition, Haverstock has stood out as a model of resilience, grit, and determination — consistently setting the tone for his teammates through his work ethic and selfless play. Haverstock recorded his first goal of the season on October 11 and has established himself as one of the team’s leaders in blocked shots. His reliability and fearlessness have also made him a go-to penalty killers. Known for his willingness to battle in the hard areas of the ice, Haverstock plays with heart and toughness every shift, earning the respect and admiration of his coaches and teammates alike. His relentless effort, positive attitude, and commitment to putting the team first embody the core values of the OBJ program. Haverstock’s approach to the game reflects maturity beyond his years and serves as an example for those around him. Off the ice, Haverstock continues to excel as a student and leader. A 7th grader at Karrer Middle School, he has consistently been recognized as an honor student and student ambassador, demonstrating excellence in the classroom and in the community.

12U (2013) - Henry Fink
In his first season playing at the Tier 1 level, Henry Fink has made an immediate impact through his work ethic, consistency and passion for the game. A great teammate who brings a committed attitude to the rink every day, Fink’s focus and preparation translate into relentless, competitive play during games. His advanced understanding of the game on both sides of the puck makes him effective in all situations and a key contributor to the success of the 12U team. Through the early part of the season, Fink has totaled 9 goals and 17 assists, recording at least one point in 19 of 21 games. His October performance included 3 goals and 4 assists while helping his team advance to the championship game of the CCM Motown Tournament. Fink’s ability to make plays, compete in all areas of the ice, and elevate those around him has been a major factor in the group’s 13-5-2 start. Off the ice, Fink is equally impressive. A 6th grader at Talawanda Middle School, he excels academically, earning straight A’s in every subject. A multi-sport athlete, Fink earned All-Star honors this year playing catcher and second base for his baseball team. He also claimed the title of Junior Club Champion at Oxford Country Club and won four matches this fall as a member of his middle school golf team. Demonstrating his love for the game beyond playing, Fink also participates in the USA Hockey officiating program and has begun refereeing games at the younger levels.

12U Girls (2013/14) - Cora Swanton
Cora Swanton has earned recognition as the 12U Girls Player of the Month thanks to her relentless hustle, hard work, and determination every time she steps on the ice. Cora consistently brings a positive attitude to every practice and game, setting a strong example for her teammates through her effort and enthusiasm. A coachable and motivated player, Cora regularly seeks feedback from the coaching staff, showing a genuine desire to improve and develop all aspects of her game. In seven games during October, Cora recorded 3 goals and 2 assists with a +5 rating, contributing both on and off the scoresheet. Her ability to compete in all areas of the ice and make an impact in key moments has been instrumental in the team’s success this season. Off the ice, Cora exemplifies excellence in the classroom and the community. A 7th grader at Genoa Middle School, she maintains straight A’s and is enrolled in Advanced English and Social Studies. She also serves on Student Council and was nominated by her peers to join Hope Squad, a student-led, peer-to-peer support program dedicated to building school connectedness and reducing the risk of suicide by empowering students to look out for youth in distress. When she’s not on the ice, Cora continues to demonstrate her athleticism and competitive spirit by playing soccer for Club Ohio in both the fall and spring seasons.

11U (2014) -  Evan Gardner
A talented player and consistent offensive threat, Evan Gardner has been named the 11U Player of the Month after helping lead his team to a 6-4-1 record in October. Gardner’s scoring touch, creativity, and competitiveness have made him a key contributor to the team’s success early in the season. His standout performance came at the Jr. Canadiens Cup in Toronto, where he led the entire tournament in scoring with 7 goals and 5 assists, helping his team advance to the championship game. Gardner’s ability to produce in big moments, combined with his hockey IQ make him one of the most dynamic players in his age group. Beyond his offensive output, Gardner’s passion for the game, coachability, and willingness to consistently improve have allowed him to grow into a more complete player this season. Off the ice, Gardner is an accomplished student and well-rounded athlete. A 6th grader at McCord Middle School in Worthington, he earned straight A’s in the first quarter. Outside of hockey, he is also an avid golfer, demonstrating his athletic versatility and focus across multiple sports.

10U (2015) - Maximus Brinkley
Maximus Brinkley has been a tremendous asset to the 2015 team, bringing a mature and professional approach to the rink every day. His attention to detail, commitment to improvement and relentless work ethic have made him one of the team’s most dependable and respected players. Max shows up ready to compete and sets the tone with his effort every game and every practice. In October, Maximus demonstrated his team-first attitude and versatility by moving from forward to defense during the Detroit Motown Tournament, stepping up to help the team in key moments. He played a strong two-way game, showing poise under pressure and even contributing offensively with a big assist in the quarterfinal game. His leadership, compete level, and steady presence on the ice were instrumental in helping his team to a 4-2 record for the month. Beyond the rink, Max continues to impress with his character and dedication. A 4th grader at Hoffman Trails Elementary School, he is enrolled in accelerated learning classes and consistently challenges himself academically. His teachers have recognized him for his kindness and willingness to help others, reflecting the same selfless attitude he brings to his team. Outside of hockey, Max is a multi-sport athlete who plays flag football, wrestled last season, and plans to try lacrosse this spring. He also loves reading about mythology and history, and has recently developed a strong interest in classic cars and racing.

With an every day mission to develop our student-athletes to reach their potential on and off of the ice, the program aims to provide a healthy and safe environment for the elite player to grow as a player, person and teammate through the great game of hockey.
