Wilmoth tenders with Rochester Jr. Americans

18U forward Tyler Wilmoth has signed a tender with the Rochester Jr. Americans (NAHL) for the 2026-27 season. 

A well-rounded player, Wilmoth serves as an alternate captain for the 18U team and makes an impact for the team in all situations. In 28 games this season, Wilmoth has tallied 10 goals, 17 assists and 27 points. A veteran of the OBJ program, he helped lead the 2024-25 18U team to a Mid Am District Championship and semifinal appearance at the National Tournament. Recently, he made his NAHL debut with the Americans, scoring his first junior hockey goal while playing in 3 games.

“We are so proud of Tyler. He has endured injury and adversity but continued to stay focused on being a hard working leader for us," said 18U head coach Nate Handrahan. "His game is one that any coach wants - direct, heavy, straight lines and he has skills to produce in the toughest moments.”

Wilmoth becomes the 4th OBJ player to tender in the NAHL this season, joining Austin Forney (Lone Star), Drew Travers (Kenai River) and Luke Zimpfer (Lone Star).

Celebrating its 51st season in 2025-26, the NAHL, the only USA Hockey-sanctioned Tier II Junior league boasting 34 teams teams in 19 states from across North America. The NAHL is part of the USA Hockey National Junior Development Model, which includes the USHL and the US National Team Development Program. The NAHL works closely with NCAA College Hockey, the NHL, the USHL, and USA Hockey's National Development Program in order best serve as an imperative piece in the development system for collegiate and professional hockey.
