2025 FUNDRAISER RECAP

Through year's Vertical Raise digital discount card fundraiser a total of $16,741.20 was raised to help lower costs for participating families. As a reminder, our program receives 70% of all sales and we will be directing 100% of that revenue back to the families that participated. Example: If you were responsible for selling $1,000 of discount cards, $700 will be credited back to your player's account.

We will be applying your players credits to your Crossbar account in the following order:

  1. Amount raised will be applied as credit to your January 1 fee payment.
  2. If money still remains, it will then be applied to your December 1 fee payment.
  3. If you are already paid in full, your amount will be applied to your players travel bills later this season.
  4. Any money remaining at the end will be processed as a refund or given as program credit at the end of the season.

AMOUNT RAISED LAST 3 YEARS = $83,000!!

For the 3rd straight season, the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets have partnered with Vertical Raise, a fundraising platform that offers digital discount cards that offer more than 1 million deals around the country!

Through this partnership, each family in the organization will have the opportunity to host a 21-day virtual fundraiser selling $25 digital discount cards that include deals at restaurants, hotels, shops, entertainment and more! The digital cards are GPS activated so the discounts available are always relative to the card holder's current location. 

At the conclusion of the fundraiser, Vertical Raise will redirect 70% of all sales back to the program and each family that participates will have 100% of the proceeds that they were responsible for applied to their balance due in travel bills and fees. In the last three seasons, participating families raised more than $83,000 to support their fees!

HOW IT WORKS

  • Parents will create a profile and enter email addresses and phone numbers of people in their network that they feel would have interest in supporting the program.
  • The Vertical Raise platform will send messages to each of your selected contacts offering for them to participate in the digital discount card program.
  • Discount cards cost $25 each and the 70% of all sales will come directly back to the program. The family that was responsible for the sale will receive 100% of those proceeds!
  • Discount cards are good for 365 days from the time of purchase. The app operates off of GPS so the deals available are always relative to your current location. Any time, any place, you save!
  • At the conclusion of the fundraiser, the program will be given a report as to how much money each family generated. That amount will be applied as credit to your families account to help lower your costs for the season.
  • Vertical Raise will not sell or share any person's contact information.
